Heritage Pussellawa Rest House

Nestled in the mist-draped highlands of Sri Lanka, Heritage Pussellawa stands as a testament to colonial charm and royal legacy. Originally known as the Heritage Pussellawa Rest House, this historic property gained distinction as a rest stop for Queen Elizabeth during her visit to Ceylon, marking it forever in the annals of Sri Lankan history.

Our intimate heritage property features three well-appointed rooms, a restaurant serving both local and international cuisine, and a convenient kiosk outlet. Among our most treasured features is one of only four original red post boxes still in active service with the Sri Lankan postal department, connecting our guests to the world just as it did in colonial times.

Historically, the rest house served as a crucial stopover for travelers before tackling the challenging Ramboda Pass en route to Nuwara Eliya. Today, we continue this tradition of hospitality, offering modern comfort while preserving our rich heritage in the heart of Sri Lanka's tea country.
